Naomi Osaka has ended her coaching partnership with Patrick Mouratoglou, less than a year after the two began working together.
The four-time Grand Slam champion confirmed the split on X, saying, “Merci Patrick… it was such a great experience learning from you.”
Osaka joined forces with Mouratoglou — famously known for coaching Serena Williams through most of her career — in September last year.
After taking a break in 2023 to welcome her daughter, Osaka has been working to rebuild momentum on the court. Her comeback season has been marked by inconsistency, and she currently sits at No. 49 in the world rankings.
She suffered an early exit at the French Open, bowing out in the first round, and made it only as far as the third round at Wimbledon.
